BIOGRAPHY

Finally, a rock ‘n’ roll band is here to reignite today’s music scene. This disgruntled, bored generation are crying out for a band that has got something to say, whose songs they can relate to, a band to represent them. There hasn’t been anyone with such conviction since The Clash. Enter Krakatoa.

Hailing from south east London, they have built up a devoted following who sing along to every word with unbridled passion. Influenced by all of the great music down the decades, Krakatoa’s sound is raw yet diverse. Reminiscent of The Beatles, The Kinks, and The Clash, Krakatoa effortlessly cross over genres, whilst still maintaining their unique rock ‘n’ roll sound. Five best mates who share a real camaraderie, you can hear it in their songs and feel it when they perform live on stage.

Lyrically is where this band stands above the rest. Every song has an unquestionable meaning and message. The band released their debut single ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Revolution’ in summer of 2009. The Mirror hailed it as one of the best debut singles of the year. Two single launch shows in London were riproaring successes, with both nights packed to the rafters (they had to do two, due to massive demand from their ever growing fan base).

This was followed by the Beatlesque, instant classic 'Fat Cats', coupled with live favourite 'Psychedelic City', which tied in with an eighteen date UK tour, in support of Alabama 3. 2010 will see them tour the UK again, and a third single will be issued in the spring.
